Being a full-time stylist, I am always on a go, attending events, fashion shows, conducting photo shoots, casting models etc . Life gets really busy sometimes and keeping your style intact living out of a suitcase isn’t exactly easy. You get to carry limited stuff. So you need to choose outfits and plan days very wisely.
One of the most common questions that my male styling clients always ask me is that, how is it possible for anyone to widen the versatility of clothes, specially a simple shirt? What if we have only one shirt and we have four events to attend? What do we do in that case? How do we style one shirt in different ways and nail all the four events?
Well… the answer has always been very simple – “Mix and Match”. I know it sounds very cliché. Almost every second fashionista walking on the street swears by it. Trust me, I get annoyed myself repeating the same thing to different people over and over again but that’s the only way out but BELIEVE YOU ME – Once you learn the art of it, your style will be eternal.
I am going to break it down for you by demonstrating on a friend of mine, how you can take one simple shirt and MAKE IT WORK. Like I said – The secret lies in the art of mixing and matching.
So shall we begin?
So for this video, I have chosen to style a light blue printed cotton shirt from Raymond’s latest premium Supima Collection. If you guys are wondering what I am talking about then please click HERE to check out the Raymond Supima Collection Launch blog post.
Good? So now that we have that covered, let’s move on to the styling video. Enjoy and feel free to drop a comment in the section below. Or not! (wink)
